You'll find a trip to Adventure Point difficult to beat! 

Not only do we offer exceptional value for money but we offer a safe and secure environment with fun activities which helps the children to learn through play.  Examples of what we can offer to schools is:

·         Pedometer Challenge – we give a pedometer to each of the children and let them run off and play all around the Centre for 45 minutes.  The activity itself benefits gross motor skills and builds confidence as they make their way through the various levels.  When they have completed the challenge we take a note of the number of steps made by each child which is followed by a fun medal award ceremony for the top three.  During the presentation we talk through the benefits of exercise and point out how they have had fun whilst increasing their heart rates and getting their muscles working.  This exercise is particularly beneficial for children covering healthy living topics.

·         Fruit Skewer Activity – we give each child a bowl of fruit, provide them with an activity sheet, pencils and crayons and ask them to design their own fruit skewer whilst trying the different fruits.  During the activity we ask them to come up with their own ideas of why fruit and vegetables are good for us and what the benefits of healthy eating are.  This activity works well following on from the Pedometer Challenge.

·         Animal Petting Session –  the children get to meet and hold our resident guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters and tortoise.  The staff talk to them about how to look after each animal and what they like to eat.

·         Orienteering – we give each child a map and set of instructions to complete.  The first three to return with all completed answers correctly win a prize.  This activity is particularly suitable for ages 7 and upwards.

Not only does the Centre incorporate equipment designed for fun, but there are illustrated panels located throughout which cover such topics as the life cycle of the frog and butterfly.   

We have a huge outdoor sand and water play park which is open every day throughout the summer (weather permitting).
